Installation
Installation Process
Note: Please take a backup of your all Magento files and database before installing or updating any extension.
Download the extension file:
- Download the Events Manager extension .ZIP file from solwininfotech.com using your Solwin Infotech website account.
- Extract the .ZIP file which contains another .ZIP files.
- If you have purchased the extension for the Community Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.1.x, Magento 2.2.x, Magento 2.3.x, and Magento 2.4.x version.
If you have purchased the extension for the Enterprise Edition, then you will see the extension .ZIP file for Magento 2.1.x, Magento 2.2.x and Magento 2.3.x version.
Extension Installation
For Magento 2 Community Edition,
- If you are using Magento 2.1.x then you need to extract
solwin-ourevents-m2-2.1.x.zip
file.
If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-ourevents-m2-2.2.x.zip file.
If you are using Magento 2.3.x, Magento 2.4.x then you need to extract solwin-ourevents-m2.zip file.
For Magento 2 Enterprise Edition,
- If you are using Magento 2.1.x then you need to extract
solwin-ourevents-m2-EE-2.1.x.zip
file.
If you are using Magento 2.2.x then you need to extract solwin-ourevents-m2-EE-2.2.x.zip file.
If you are using Magento 2.3.x then you need to extract solwin-ourevents-m2-EE.zip file.
Following 2 to 6 steps are the same for Community and Enterprise edition.
- Copy the app folder and paste it into your magento ROOT
directory.
- Run upgrade command as specified : php bin/magento setup:upgrade.
- Run deploy command as specified : php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy -f.
- Clear the cache either from the admin panel or command line php bin/magento cache:clean.
- Now, you can see the Solwin menu in admin panel. Please go to Solwin -> Events Manager -> Configuration and select Enable to Yes.
- Change/Set all other options as per your requirements and save settings.
NOTE : Make sure the installation is done from under the FTP administrator account. Otherwise make sure to set 775 permissions to the store root directory after the extension is deployed.

Information
The Events Manager Magento 2 extension help you to display latest events to customers/visitors on your website. In Frontend, It has “Ourevents” link on top header / footer section. User can list and view the events details by clicking on the link (Header/Footer). This extension provides a way to present customers with updated events in the company. Events listing page displays list of all the events according to a date with all events details like event title, description, events photos, event date etc. and its provide 2 different type layout for listing, List Layout and Grid Layout.

How To Use
In frontside, customers can see the latest events with event title, event description, venue detail, event date etc. With 2 different layout.

Click on Read More button to see full description like event title, entry fee, event description, venue detail, event date, contact details, event gallery etc.
Also display latest events in sidebar block.
Display events gallery in fancy box popup.
How To Configure
To view events list, Go to Solwin >> Event Manager >> Manage Events.
Click on Add New button to add new event details like
- Title: Enter event title.
- URL Key: Enter Url key.
- Store View: Select store view.
- URL: Enter Url of event.
- Venue: Enter venue detail.
- Description: Enter full description about event.
- Event Start Date: Select event start date.
- Event End Date: Select event end date.
- Status: Enable | Disable.
- Image: Upload main image for event.
- Second Image: Upload second image for event.
- Third Image: Upload third image for event.
- Entry Fee: Set entry fee.
- Contact Name: Enter contact name.
- Email: Enter contact email address.
- Phone: Enter contact phone number.
- Meta Keyword: Enter meta keyword.
- Meta Description: Enter meta description.
Settings
In the Backend from Solwin >> Event Manager >> Configuration menu, our extension allows you to enable or disable the module in your store and provide you more configuration options for event extension.
General Settings
- Enable: Yes | No.
- Add Toplink?: Yes | No.
- Add Footerlink?: Yes | No.
- Events List Url: set event list Url.
- Events Url Prefix: set Url prefix.
- Events Url Suffix: set Url suffix.
- Select Layout: List View | Grid View with Two Column.
- Show Events In Sidebar: Yes | No.
- Events Block Title: Enter events block title for sidebar.
- Events Limit In Sidebar Block: Set events limit for sidebar block.
- Read More Link Text: Enter read more link text.
- Events Not Found Text: Enter text for events not found or available.

Widget
Our Event Widget
1. Click on Content >> Pages.
2. Click on "Add New Page" button and create new page or open your existing page.
3. Go to “Content” section and click on “Insert Widget...” tab.

- Widget Type: Select widget type “Our Events widget”.
- Title: Enter title for widget section.
